Product Data
• KOAGEN 215

DESCRIPTION

KOAGEN 215 is a liquid blend of polymerised aluminium salt used as coagulant in raw and wastewater treatment.

ADVANTAGES

KOAGEN 215 works in a wider range of pH compared to aluminium sulphate. It is effective from pH 5 to 10.
KOAGEN 215 lowers pH and alkalinity less than that of alum and iron salts thus reduces the need for post pH adjustment. It, therefore, saves costs on alkali consumption.

GENERAL SPECIFICATION

Appearance……………………… Slightly hazy yellowish liquid
Specific gravity……………..……. 1.20 ± 0.5
pH………………………………. 2.5 max.
Shelf-life (40° C)………………… > 12 months

TREATMENT

KOAGEN 215 could be dosed directly without dilution. The best treatment dilution required will have to be determined by plant operating conditions. However, diluted solution should not be kept for more than 3 days.

HANDLING

The product has a low order of toxicity but may be irritating to skin or eyes due to its acidic nature. Splashes should be washed immediately with plenty of fresh water. It should not be stored under direct sunlight or at a temperature higher than 40° C.

KOAGEN 215 is available in 30 kg and 250 kg drums.
